Yes, that's right...Dustin, Mia, Emy, Charlie (the dog) and I are living in an apartment right now. I can just feel your jealousy radiating from my computer! In May, after having our home on the market for just two short weeks, we sold it without having found another home in the area we liked. We ended up finding a home that was being built and will be ready by the end of this month. These last (almost) 4 months have been interesting to say the least!
After living in our last house for almost 7 years, it was quite a change to go back to apartment living. Luckily, we got a lower-level unit with two bedrooms, but at times we still feel like we are loosing our minds! Johnny "lead-foot" lives above us and gets up every morning at 5 o'clock. I'm convinced he jumps everywhere he goes in his apartment! Did I mention the "critters" we have at our complex? Just one short month ago, Mia, Emy and I were literally chased into our apartment by a SKUNK! Okay, so maybe he wasn't rabid, but he was very, very close and running at us no less. We also have several families of raccoons. They are actually pretty cute - they do their dumpster-diving thing, stare at us as we drive by and leave us alone if we leave them alone (and we do).
Well, in a few short weeks we will be out of this apartment (sob, sob). Mr. Pepe Lapue will have to find some other family to terrorize!

Love the new blog look! Aargh -- apartment life after having more space is not easy. It does make you want to downsize your stuff, though! Our first house was actually more cramped than the apartment we moved out of! I love the photo of your girls in their hoodie towels. :o) Best wishes for patience as you wait to move.

Love the new blog! Can't imagine an apartment with kiddos. The girls are just gorgeous - Can't believe how fast Emy grew up!
